Brooklyn Film Festival

Brooklyn Film Festival "3000 miles from Hollywood"

CHALLENGE: You might think Brooklyn is the center of creativity, but when it comes to film the Brooklyn Film Festival gets lost in the shadows of the Tribeca Film Festival.

SOLUTION: We wanted to give the festival a point of differentiation, so we built a campaign around the insight that Tribeca is just another overrated Hollywood scene. We created a comical comparison using Hollywood clichés to prove that Brooklyn is physically and philosophically as far away from Hollywood as it gets.

RESULTS: Every seat at the Festival was taken and we saw a record number of film submissions. The campaign aired on local TV and was highlighted on Creativity Editor’s Pick, Bloomberg and The Inspiration Room. The in-house no-budget campaign was not submitted to award shows.
